Over the bank holiday weekend, residents are likely to accumulate more waste than usual, and the council is asking everyone to recycle as much of this waste as they possibly can.

Richard Trout, Head of Service for Waste and Recycling at Tewkesbury Borough Council, said: “During the holiday weekend, many people will be getting together with friends and family, whether this be a family meal or a visit to take advantage of the three-day break.

“This is likely to generate more waste than usual, so please remember to recycle as much as possible. And please don’t forget to place any leftover food in your food caddy for recycling.”
