Waste collections for the bank holiday, Monday, 19 September
The Government has announced that there will be an additional bank holiday on Monday, 19 September to mark the occasion of the State Funeral of Her Majesty The Queen.
To this end, there will be no waste collections on this day and all collections within the borough will be delayed by one day. Normal collections begin again on Monday, 26 September.
Cllr Jim Mason, Lead Member for Clean and Green Environment, said: “It will be a sombre and reflective day for many of us in the borough to mark the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. Our crews will catch up on the waste collections across the borough during the week and weekend.”
