Tewkesbury Leisure Centre’s soft play centre is now open.
Equipped with slides, rope bridges and activity stations, the soft play is available for customers seven days a week on a pay-as-you-go basis and is bookable through the leisure centre’s website.
Use of the soft play costs £2.75 per child (infants to 12-year-olds) on a pay-as-you-go basis. Access is also included as part of the leisure centre’s Premium membership. An adult member can add up to four juniors to their membership, giving them unlimited access to the soft play.
Soft play provides children with endless opportunities for learning and development. Not only does it provide a fun, safe and engaging environment for children and infants to explore their senses, it also helps them to develop their motor skills and sense of balance.
Tewkesbury Leisure Centre General Manager, Chris Bishop, said: “We want the leisure centre to be an essential community asset that engages as many people as possible.
“By bringing soft play to Tewkesbury, we’re providing children with a hugely popular activity that helps to keep them active, whilst helping parents and carers to keep their little ones entertained.”
Tewkesbury Borough Council’s Lead Member for Housing, Health and Wellbeing, Councillor Alex Hegenbarth, said: “I’m delighted that soft play has now been added to Tewkesbury Leisure Centre’s many amenities. It’s so important that young children get as many opportunities as possible to increase their learning and development.
“The soft play will let them explore their senses and help them to develop motor skills and their sense of balance – all in an environment that parents can be sure is fun and safe.”

Premium membership is available throughout June and July 2023 with no joining fee. Simply use the code TEWKNJF when signing up via the leisure centre’s website or in person at reception.
