Covid-19 – over £9 million paid to local businesses by TBC

Tewkesbury Borough Council has paid out a total of £9.31 million of government funding to businesses in Tewkesbury Borough affected by the current coronavirus pandemic.

The council has already made 799 payments and is working through more applications for support.

Councillor Rob Bird, leader of Tewkesbury Borough Council, said: “We want to ensure that businesses get all the financial support they are entitled to as quickly as possible. If you’ve not applied for funding yet, and think your business is eligible for help, please complete the council’s online application form.

“If you need any further support or guidance, the Tewkesbury Growth Hub team are always on hand to help. They will be providing free advice sessions on the support announced by government, including a range of webinars. Please get involved – it will help get some clarity during these uncertain times.”
