Waste and recycling collections will be rescheduled during the week following the Easter bank holiday weekend.
While collections on Good Friday (7 April) will go ahead as normal, the following week’s will take place a day later than scheduled to catch up after bank holiday Monday.
Catch up collections will run from Tuesday, 11 April through to Saturday, 15 April. Normal collections begin again on Monday, 17 April.
Peter Tonge, Tewkesbury Borough Council’s Director of Communities, said: “Easter can be a particularly wasteful time with additional packaging from Easter eggs and gifts. However, recycling in Tewkesbury Borough is very easy with our recycling bins and food caddies, and we hope all our residents make use of them to minimise the amount of waste sent to landfill.”
Anyone wishing to check their collection dates can use the council’s online collection calendar, which is available for reference throughout the year.
