Further to the incident at Tewkesbury School on Monday 10th July, Tewkesbury Town Mayor, Christine Danter, says:
“We were all deeply concerned and saddened to hear of the incident that happened at Tewkesbury School on Monday. We are however very pleased to hear that the teacher who was injured is now recovering at home. We wish him a speedy and full recovery.
We’re aware of the impact that this incident will have on pupils, staff and parents/carers of Tewkesbury School but also on our wider school community here in Tewkesbury Town. The Town Council will be looking at how it can further support the youth in our community and work with other organisations to ensure the best support possible is made available to all those affected and to ensure that this continues going forwards.
We would like to thank the emergency services who responded to the incident and continue with their investigations.”
