Due to snow and icy conditions on 27th December, Tewkesbury Borough Council’s crews were unable to undertake the refuse collections as planned.

If your normal collection day was Tuesday this will now be collected on Thursday, 28 December.

Wednesday’s collections will be collected on Friday, 29 December.

Thursday’s and Friday’s collections will be collected on Saturday, 30 December.

If you were due to have refuse collected on Monday, 25 December you can put out extra bags by the side of your bin on the next scheduled refuse collection which is Monday, 8 January.

If you were due to have recycling collected on Monday, 25 December you can put out extra recycling by your bin on the next scheduled recycling collection which is Monday 8 January.

Recycling can be presented at the kerbside in either blue recycling bags, which can be collected from the council offices, some local parish offices, or in a suitable container such as a cardboard box.  At present, blue bags will be available from GL3 community hub in Churchdown, Brockworth Community Centre and Hucclecote PC.

If you were due to have a food waste collection on Christmas Day your next collection is on Tuesday, 2 January as collections are a day later than normal this week because of the bank holiday on New Year’s Day.

If you wish, additional waste and recycling can be taken to the household recycling centres at Wingmoor, Bishops Cleeve or Hempsted, Gloucester; these sites are only closed Christmas Day and News Year’s Day.
