Easter escapades: Tewkesbury Borough’s bursting with family fun!

12- 20 April, the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway (GWSR) invites children to unleash their creativity with free children’s easter craft activities. This is a fantastic opportunity for young ones to engage in hands-on fun, creating Easter themed crafts.

12- 27 April, Easter family adventures await at Sudeley Castle in Winchcombe. Explore the historic atmosphere of this enchanting castle, with special Easter themed activities designed for families. Discover the beauty of the castle grounds and create lasting memories.

15 April, delve into local history with Tony Conder’s talk, ‘Going up Country – Trade between the sea and the West Midlands by canal and river’, at Tewkesbury Baptist Church, Station Road. 19 April, 7pm, The Spring Fringe (Tewkesbury Live) presents ‘Rave Against The Regime and The Vespas’ at the Watson Hall, Barton Street, Tewkesbury. Enjoy an evening of vibrant entertainment.

19 April, Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway (GWSR) offers a unique tour, ‘Behind Closed Doors – Lifting the Curtain’.  This includes a tour of the loco shed, signal box, and carriage and wagon department. Visit gwsr.com for details.

During the Easter holidays from 12 to 21 April, visitors can get up close and personal with the detail of Tewkesbury’s beautiful buildings at their own pace with our Tewkesbury’s Historic Egg Hunt. Pick up a trail leaflet from the Tourist Heritage and Visitor Centre on Tewkesbury’s Church Street and discover the town’s rich history and hidden gems. Collect the clues and then head to the centre to collect a beautiful hand-made ceramic egg decoration.
