Christmas 2024 and New Year opening times for Tewkesbury Borough Council
Council services and opening times will vary over the Christmas and New Year period.
All council services and facilities will be closed on Wednesday, 25 December, Thursday, 26 December and Wednesday, 1 January 2025.
Customer Services/ council offices:
All customer service desks and council buildings will be closed on Wednesday, 25 December through to Friday, 27 December and Wednesday, 1 January 2025.Opening times on Monday, 30 and Tuesday, 31 December will be 8.30am to 5pm. Although the main reception desks will be staffed during this period, hub staffing will be limited. Opening hours will return to normal from Thursday, 2 January. If you need assistance over the festive period, our Public Service Centre’s Christmas and New Year opening hours are:
Monday, 23 December – 8.30am – 5pm
Tuesday, 24 December – 8.30am – 12 noon
Wednesday, 25 – Friday, 27 December – closed
Monday, 30 – Tuesday, 31 December – 8.30am – 5pm
Wednesday, 1 January – closed
Thursday, 2 January – 8.30am – 5pm
Friday, 3 January – 8.30am – 4pm
Waste collections
Waste and recycling collections will be delayed over the Christmas period, with waste collection crews not working on Wednesday, 25 December, Thursday, 26 December and Wednesday, 1 January 2025. Residents should check their online collection calendar which is updated with their revised collection days.
Car parks
Our car parks will be operating as usual. This Saturday, 21 December there is free parking in Tewkesbury and Winchcombe borough council owned car parks. To find a list of car parks, charges and when they apply, visit our website.
